2006-10-09 Untitled 1

I’m lying to me.
I think I can be organized
if I just jot down my to-dos.
No need to actually do any tos.
I’ll pay for my phone,
keep the PDA fully charged and updated,
and they can keep each other company,
tucked away safe and snug under a blanket of notes,
lovers in the solitude of weekend office silence.
My notebooks, the ones that give me any pleasure,
are not the ones that keep me punctual,
laser focused on my primary tasks:
procrastination; avoidance; daydreaming.
The benefits are excellent,
but the pay is a little skimpy.
